Matrix IQ
Last updated: 18 August 2026
Matrix IQ is a free, language-free reasoning test. This policy explains what the app and website collect, why, and what control you have over it. It covers both the website at matrix-iq.onrender.com and the Matrix IQ mobile apps.
Matrix IQ is operated by an independent developer based in the United Kingdom. For any privacy question or request, contact mr.boss.sui@gmail.com.
When you take the test we record your answers, the time taken on each item, and the resulting score. This is what produces your result.
Before your score is revealed the app asks for the following. These are used to place your result against the right comparison group.
The following are optional and can be left blank:
No account is created, no email address is requested, and no device identifier is attached to any of this. We cannot tell who you are from what is submitted.
Our hosting provider records standard server logs, including IP address, browser type and the time of each request. These are used to keep the service running and secure, and are not used to build a profile of you.
Your answers are used to calculate and display your score. The optional details above are used in aggregate to improve how the test is scored — for example, to build more accurate comparison norms across different age groups, genders, regions and occupations. Aggregate means combined with many other people's results; individual responses are not published, and results shown to other users are group averages only.
We rely on your consent, which you give by submitting the form and continuing to your score. Ethnicity, where you choose to provide it, is special category data under UK GDPR and is collected only with your explicit consent — leaving it blank has no effect on your result. We rely on legitimate interests for the server logs needed to operate and secure the service. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.
On the website, an optional detailed report can be purchased. Payment is handled entirely by our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy. We never receive or store your card details. Lemon Squeezy processes your payment information under its own privacy policy. The mobile apps are free and contain no purchases.
Test results and any optional details you provide are kept for as long as they remain useful for scoring accuracy. Server logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider and then discarded.
Matrix IQ is suitable for general audiences but is not directed at young children. We ask that anyone under 13 takes the test with a parent or guardian. If you are a parent or guardian and would like a submission removed, contact us and we will delete it.
If you are in the UK or EU you have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, and to object to or restrict how it is used. To exercise any of these, email us at the address above. Because the test does not require an account, please include enough detail for us to locate your result.
You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be highlighted in the app.
Short version: take the test, get your score. We ask for your country, age group and occupation so we can compare you against the right group. It is anonymous, it goes into group averages to make the scoring fairer, and it is never sold.
